Job summary

Akima is seeking a Production Control Clerk in Colorado Springs area to support Army supply and maintenance processes. The role involves compiling and recording production data from orders and work tickets using prescribed procedures and word processing tools.

Responsibilities include timely data entry into GCSS-Army and related systems, maintaining logs and reports, supporting audit readiness, and preparing production sheets for assembly or manufacture, while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2-3 years of production control experience.
• Must have GCSS-A experience.
• Must be able to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation result and obtain/maintain a CAC.
• Must be able to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
• GCSS-A Certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance.
• Must have a real ID.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate data entry into Army systems such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP.
• Maintain logs, spreadsheets, and reports for daily, weekly, and monthly activity.
• Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate and compliant material records.
• Write production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats, maintaining files of documents used and prepared.
• Compile detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
• Sort and distribute work tickets or material and may compute wages from employee timecards and post data on records used for preparation of payroll.
• Monitor equipment requiring maintenance by creating evacuation work orders, coordinating the transfer of equipment to the repair shop, and ensuring proper receipt once repairs are completed.
