Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) is seeking a Production Control Clerk to manage production data, maintain logs and reports, and support audit readiness across Army systems. Candidates should have GCSS-A experience, strong data entry skills, and the ability to coordinate maintenance and payroll data entry.

The role is on-site in Alaska, requiring the ability to travel as needed and pass background checks. A high school diploma and 2–3 years of production control experience are preferred.

  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry into Army systems (GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP).
  • Maintain logs, spreadsheets, and reports for daily/weekly/monthly activity.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining compliant material records.
  • Prepare production reports and detailed work tickets for production use.
  • Sort and distribute work tickets or materials and assist payroll data entry.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance by coordinating repairs and receipts.

Job description

The Production Control Clerk must have a comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and maintenance management processes, related regulations and is required to ensure effective execution of the function. The Production Control Clerk must possess operational skill and knowledge of the automated supply systems utilized. May perform any combination of the following duties: compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry into Army systems such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP.
  • Maintain logs, spreadsheets, and reports for daily, weekly, and monthly activity.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate and compliant material records.
  • Additional tasks include writing production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats, maintaining files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
  • This Clerk also sorts and distributes work tickets or material and may compute wages from employee timecards and post data on records used for preparation of payroll.
  • Monitor equipment requiring maintenance by creating evacuation work orders, coordinating the transfer of equipment to the repair shop, and ensuring proper receipt once repairs are completed.
Physical Demands & Working Environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform routine standing, walking, bending, and reaching tasks in warehouse and field environments.
  • Must also meet all physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties, including working in extreme heat or cold, high, or low humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, heights, and other inclement weather conditions.
  • This position involves working both indoors and outdoors, periodic overtime, and exposure to heat, dust, cold, and adverse weather conditions.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • 2-3 years production control experience.
  • Must have GCSS-A experience.
  • Must have the ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation result and obtain/maintain a CAC.
  • Must have the ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
  • GCSS-A Certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Must have a real ID.
  • Must have a real ID.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to obtain Tier‑1/ NACI (Public trust) background eligibility.
  • Basic proficiency in the English language (reading and writing).
  • Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results.
  • Employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to travel within the United States as required. This position may require up to 25% travel.
