Position Overview

Novelis is hiring Production Workers at our Davenport, IA Casting and Finishing Plants.

Salary: $24.17/hour with a full benefit package.

Responsibilities

• Work safely in compliance with all Novelis safety and environmental requirements, policies, and regulatory statutes.
• Provide material handling services.
• Follow departmental processes and quality procedures, including taking appropriate samples.
• Operate mobile equipment.
• Communicate with other departments to coordinate metal flow and maintain operating standards.
• Assist others to keep assigned areas of the plant, workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms organized and clean.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Move materials up to 35 pounds.
• Adhere to and support company quality, environmental, health & safety, and certification standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, ASI).

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong safety leadership and willingness to support all safety initiatives.
• Ability to become a qualified forklift and excavator operator; complete training on assigned material handling equipment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Understanding of plant safety rules and departmental safety practices.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Availability to work all shifts, either rotational or straight.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
• Willingness to train in other job classifications.
• GED or high school diploma.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification from a previous company or state agency.
• At least 6 months of forklift and/or endloader experience.
• Experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
