Job summary

Nazdar's Lenexa, KS-based manufacturing facility is seeking a Batchmaker to support ink production. Starting pay ranges from $18.25 to $20.25 per hour based on batch experience, with eligibility for benefits, holidays, and PTO.

Responsibilities include weighing materials, recording batch data, monitoring equipment, and coordinating with shifts to ensure quality. Training and onboarding are provided, with emphasis on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in production or manufacturing setting.
  • Preferred experience in batch weighing, mixing or blending.
  • Ability to work in a team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Weighing or measuring materials to ensure batch conformance.
  • Record weights on production records and add materials in sequence.
  • Monitor ink production and inspect equipment for safe operation.
  • Add or mix chemicals and ingredients as needed for processing.
  • Communicate with batch makers on other shifts and coordinate with QA.
  • Clean equipment and work area at shift end.
  • Assist training and onboarding of new staff on tasks, processes and safety.
  • Perform duties per established safety, quality, and efficiency SOPs.

Job description

Nazdar's manufacturing plant is in search of a Batchmakerto assist in the ink production area.

  • Starting Pay: $18.25 (with no previous batch experience) and $20.25/hr (with previous batch making, mixing, and blending experience)
  • Eligible for Benefits, Paid Holidays, and Paid Time Off!!

Responsibilities include:

  • Weighing or measuring materials, ingredients, and products to ensure conformance to requirements
  • Recording weight of materials used on production records. Introducing appropriate raw materials into batches in the proper sequence.
  • Observing the production of the ink and monitoring equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Adding or mixing chemicals and ingredients for processing.
  • Communicate with batch makers from other shifts.
  • Work with the QA department to insure quality standards are met.
  • Cleaning equipment and surrounding floor area at the end of each work shift.
Assist in the training, onboarding, and cross-training of new and existing employees on job tasks, processes, equipment, quality standards, and safety procedures as assigned.
  • Clean and secure work area at the end of the workday.
  • Performs job according to pre-established safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Must be able to:

  • stand and walk around the production floor for long periods of time
  • reach with hands and arms overhead above shoulders
  • bend to retrieve containers and packages
  • constantly lift materials to make batchesclimb ladders to retrieve materials
  • talk or hear
  • frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds
  • may be required to push/pull on wheels, up to 4000 pounds
  • specific vision abilities required are the ability to distinguish color
