Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina, Inc. is hiring a full-time, non-exempt team member to manage goods flow from donation to shipping. You will assist with loading, sorting, tagging, and stocking, ensuring quality and timely processing in a busy center.

General Responsibilities
  • To assure the meaningful and timely flow of donated and new goods from the donation center and loading/receiving dock through the production area to the shipping area, stock room , or production floor.
  • To encourage and promote a mutual associate/customer relationship which enhances the profitability of the Company.
  • To establish positive relationships with clients and associates to successfully implement Goodwill’s mission services.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Physically handle processed and unprocessed goods in and out of the production area by hand, machine, mechanical device or container.
  • Load and unload trucks from the distribution center.
  • Load (as needed) and unload donated or purchased goods from donor’s/purchaser’s vehicles.
  • Process donated or new goods to include sorting, grading, tagging, hanging, cleaning, testing, inspecting, counting, colorizing, sizing and to assure quality control.
  • Organize, inventory and count processed and unprocessed goods for store orders or seasonal storage.
  • Sort, label, and process goods for recycling.
  • Empty trash and perform general housekeeping, custodial and janitorial duties as may be scheduled and assigned.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education:
  • Functional reading, writing, and mathematical skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Daily requirements may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. May be exposed to dust and odors. May be required to do limited work outdoors.
Safety & Security:
  • Responsible for following all safety, security, and money handling procedures, as directed by Goodwill policy.
Work Hours:
  • As assigned by store location.
Work Attire:
  • Each associate should present a fashionable, neat, and clean appearance that will be reflective of Goodwill’s positive image in the community.
