Job summary

Martinrea International Inc. in Michigan is hiring for a production associate to assemble, verify quality, and package products on the line according to standard work instructions.

You will strive to meet production goals, load and unload items, inspect for conformance, monitor equipment, and follow safety requirements while maintaining a tidy work area. Accommodation is provided during recruitment.

Qualifications

• Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience on a manufacturing assembly line.
• Able to stand for long shifts (8–10 hours) and move around.
• Able to work in a semi-climate-controlled facility.
• Flexible with hours and scheduling.
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Light quality-control experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, perform quality checks, and package products per instructions.
• Meet or exceed team production goals consistently.
• Load and unload items from machines and conveyors.
• Inspect products to ensure quality conformance.
• Observe equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
• Wear all required PPE and maintain area cleanliness.
• Back-up duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, performing quality checks, and packaging products per the Standard Work Instruction
• Meeting or exceeding all team production goals on a consistent basis
• Loading and unloading items from machines, conveyors and conveyances
• Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Observing equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notifying operators of any malfunctions
• Wearing all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times while in work areas
• Performing general cleanup and maintenance of your work area
