Job summary

BSN SPORTS, A VARSITY BRANDS COMPANY in Norwalk, CT, is seeking a Production Associate (Screen Print) on-site. You will assist with the screen print production, perform quality checks, and support press operations to ensure defect-free finished goods for customers.

The role requires familiarity with screen printing processes, strong attention to detail, and reliable attendance. OT may be required during peak periods; safety and teamwork are emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Move materials using pallet jacks and RF scanners.
• Keep area clean and equipment maintained with weekly wash.

As a Production Associate, is responsible for assisting with the production of screen print process. Includes quality checks to ensure high-quality finished goods to meet customers' expectations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Reviews work order, observes specifications and any special notes, and prepares work area to start to print multi-color work.
• Direct physical activity is required to maintain their productivity while meeting the highest quality specifications.
• Quality check decorated garments based on customer specifications.
• Assist the press operator by loading material on press, applying ink to screens, changing squeegees, and pre-counting material before decoration based on the paperwork.
• Operation of machinery is used to coat, reclaim, image, and develop screens used in the screen-printing process.
• Move material into staging locations throughout the facility using a pallet jack and RF scanner.
• Ensures that their area and equipment is kept clean, wiped down with press wash at least once per week.
• Utilize all personal protective equipment as required for personal safety and the safety of their peers.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES

• Familiarity with screen printing machines and software.
• Ability to spot errors and ensure precise stitching.
• An eye for accuracy to catch irregularities ensuring that we only send out the best product.
• A reliable team member that employees can count on every day to be punctual.
• Read and comprehend documents, instructions, and correspondence in English to perform job duties efficiently.
• Participate in meetings, discussions, and presentations requiring proficient spoken English skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing valuable insights and feedback in English.
• Learn tasks quickly, be detailed, accuracy-driven, personable, team-oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance.
• Candidates are required to see and differentiate colors for accuracy in inspecting the product during and after being processed
• Ability to work seasonal mandatory OT as needed and maintain excellent attendance

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

• HS Diploma or GED (required)
• Previous warehouse experience is a bonus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus

The position requires lifting of no less than 15-35 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
