Job summary

Pilgrim’s Arcadia, WI complex is seeking a Production Associate (Part Time) for day shifts. In this role you will be preforming a variety of production tasks to support value-added poultry products, with flexibility to work around your availability.

The position aims to build skills and prepare team members for leadership opportunities within the company. You’ll work in a safety-focused environment with cool temperatures, standing 8–11 hours per day, and lifting up to 50 lb.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Poultry or food industry experience is a plus, 6–12 months preferred.
• Skills: Ability to multitask, communicate well, follow instructions, and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Process poultry products using tools, manual labor, and equipment per USDA and Pilgrim’s standards.
• Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
• Keep work area clean and follow safety, food safety, and animal welfare guidelines.
• Support team members by sharing skills and promoting a positive work atmosphere.
• Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
• Perform other duties to meet production and quality goals.

Purpose and Scope/General Summary:

We are looking for a Production Associate (Part Time) Team Member at our Pilgrim’s Arcadia, WI Complex. In this role you will be preforming a variety of production centered tasks to support the production of value-added poultry products. This position is intended to increase skill, gain experience, and prepare Team Members for advancement into posted leadership positions. This position offers flexibility to work Part Time hours around your availability.

Responsibilities

• Process poultry products using tools, manual labor, and equipment according to USDA and Pilgrim’s standards.


• Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.


• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety, food safety, and animal welfare guidelines.


• Support team members by sharing skills and knowledge while promoting a positive work atmosphere.


• Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.


• Perform other duties as assigned to meet production and quality goals.


• Demonstrate flexibility by performing tasks in different areas of production as needed.


• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.


• Experience: Poultry or food industry experience is a plus, work experience in past 6 – 12 Months.


• Skills: Ability to multitask and work quickly, have good communication skills, ability to comprehend simple instructions and apply common sense, and must be a team player and be willing to work close to other employees at some stations. (Less than 3 feet apart.)


• Physical requirements: Ability to work in cool temperatures (around 40 degrees), ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day and lift 50 bs or more.

Why Work for Pilgrim’s?

• Schedule: Monday – Friday with occasional Saturday. Looking for minimum of 3 to 5 days/week of availability, working either a full shift or a partial shift of 6 hours/day in the first half or second half of the shift. Hours to be worked during Shift times: 6:20 am – End of Shift, time may vary (approximately 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm).

• Base salary: Range of $21.59/hour plus $1.50/hour shift differential.
