Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a Saw Shop Operator in Tooele, UT to set up and operate power saws for slotting, cutting, and trimming wood used in pallets. The role is full-time with a $17.00/hr pay and a Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm schedule, with overtime potential.

Responsibilities include following safety rules, communicating with plant management, and maintaining quality. Requirements: HS diploma or GED, ability to lift ~50 lbs, and lumber/warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift pallets weighing approximately 50 lbs regularly.
• Experience in lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Overview

As a Saw Shop Operator, you’ll get to setup our builders for success by setting up and operating power saws to slot, cut, and trim wood for pallet creation! You’ll be the a vital piece of our pallet manufacturing process, and we’re looking for a motivated individual to fill this role!

Hourly Pay:

$17.00/hr.

Shift(s):

Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

1820 West H Avenue, Bldg. 641, Tooele, UT 84074

What You'll Do

• Operate power saws to cut & trim wood pallets

• Follow and adhere to all safety rules and regulations

• Communicate to plant management effectively on a regular basis

• Ability to work overtime as needed

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED

• Ability to lift wooden pallets which weigh about 50 lbs. on a regular basis

• Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing, experience highly preferred

• Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality

• Ability to communicate effectively

• Ability to work overtime as needed

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
