Job summary

Pyrotek in Salisbury, NC is seeking a Production Associate to support ceramic processing, assembly and inspection. You will operate molds, saws and routers, measure quality with basic tools, and work as part of a diverse manufacturing team.

Strong reliability, teamwork and math skills are essential. This full-time role features a 5am–1:30pm shift and pay range of $18–$21 per hour, with benefits eligible.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Shift Hours: M-F 5am to 1:30pm

The Production Associate will perform intermediate production tasks for various stages for the processing of ceramic material into finished and semi-finished products, including mixing and canting, assembling, inspecting and packaging, and operating equipment and machinery, as needed.

Associate must be proficient in basic machine operations. This included molds, saws and routers. Additionally, the associate must be able to measure the quality of the product through use of the measurement instrumentation.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers.
• Ability to perform mathematical skills in the forms of measurement and other work material calculations utilizing a calculator.
• Exhibit flexibility in work schedule beyond a normal workday as needed.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED), Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC), highly desired or equivalent combination of education and life experiences.
• Minimum of one (1) year manufacturing/machine operation experience or training.

Physical/Sensory Requirements:

While performing the functions of this position, the employee is continuously required to talk or hear; regularly required to stand, bend and reach, use hands and fingers, handle or feel. Frequently lift material weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lift maneuver/handle material up to 60 pounds. Communicate effectively in English by telephone, in person and in writing. Effectively use a personal computer, office equipment and basic calculator. Specific vision abilities require both up close and distant sight abilities.

While performing the essential responsibilities of this position, employee work solely within the manufacturing environment where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Employee is regularly exposed to noise, heat and cold environmental conditions.

The minimum and maximum hourly range for this full-time position is $18 - $21 + benefits.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including but not limited tojob-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
