Job summary

Sonoco Products Company is seeking a Production Associate II in Horsham, PA for the 11pm–7am shift. The role requires lifting up to 50 lb, standing long hours, and strict adherence to safety and quality guidelines.

You will assist with materials handling, operate and maintain production equipment, and participate in standard safety practices. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a structured production environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and overtime as required.
• Ability to operate a computer and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Complies with established job safety practices and SOPs.
• Supports and follows SQF guidelines for food safety.
• Maintains a safe and secure work environment, participates in safety meetings and inspections.
• Stages and maintains packaging materials and places work order tickets on finished skid.
• Feeds raw materials into machinery and maintains production equipment.
• Visually inspects materials for quality and reports defects; performs cleanup and housekeeping.

Job description

Position: Production Associate II
Location: Horsham, PA
Wage: $26.42/hr
Shift: : 3rd Shift 11pm-7am (8 hours)
*Must be able to work Nights and Days*

While reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor, the following job description outlines the essential functions of each level of role within the production department. The following lists are not exhaustive, and the employee in each of these roles is expected to assume any and all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in the following.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Complies with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.
• Supports and follows the SQF (Safe Quality Food) guidelines of the food safety system.
• Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment.This includes correcting unsafe acts/conditions, participating in monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections, and investigating accidents, as required.
• Follows company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), practices and Sonoco's Global Code of Conduct.
• Stages and maintains packaging materials
• Places work order tickets on finished skid
• Feeds raw materials into machinery.
• Performs and assists in maintaining production equipment as required
• Visually inspects materials as they are produced, and notifies mechanic or shift supervisor of any quality defects.
• Performs clean‑up, painting, and housekeeping duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
