Job summary

Airgas in La Porte, TX is seeking a Production Associate - Hydrogen Filler to safely fill high-pressure hydrogen cylinders and tube trucks, following precise temperature/pressure methods.

You will operate filling equipment, perform pre-fill and post-fill inspections, and maintain accurate filling records while complying with local, state, and federal regulations. Training is provided and benefits start after 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must regularly lift 25-75 pounds and move more with equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.

• Work Schedule: Rotating shifts as follows:
  Wednesday - Saturday 5:00 pm to 5:30 am Off: Sunday - Wednesday
  Thursday - Saturday 5:00 pm to 5:30 am Off: Sunday - Tuesday

As a Production Associate Hydrogen Filler, you will fill high-pressure cylinders and tube trucks with hydrogen and helium, following compression temperature/pressure method.

• Operate and safely maintain equipment for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders.
• Perform all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before cylinders are released.
• Ensure cylinders are adequately maintained – cylinders requiring maintenance or repair are removed from service until corrected.
• Regularly inspect and maintain pumping apparatus and associated pressure gages and monitoring devices.
• Fill cylinders or containers to proper pressure or weight, whichever is appropriate.
• Ensure cylinder filling records are accurately maintained and that all required procedures are followed to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must regularly lift to 25-75 pounds and move more than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
• Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion also required.
• Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.
• Ability to read and comprehend all written documents and instructions.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior forklift experience
• Prior compressed gas cylinder filling experience
