Job summary

Goodwill of South Central Wisconsin in Fort Atkinson is seeking a Production Associate to help maximize store profitability by efficiently processing donations, pricing items, and supporting a clean, organized sales floor.

You will work with team members to move donations through the process quickly, greet customers and donors, and follow safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. No experience is required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn safe operation of power equipment (must be 18+).
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort donations into outbound containers for e-commerce, salvage, or trash using quality standards.
• Determine if item is unit priced or tagged with good/better/best price using guidelines.
• Identify brands and high-interest items to maximize value in store or through e-commerce.
• Meet 1 touch production goals—HL Donations from door to floor in 15 minutes or 1 SL rack per hour.
• Communicate with material handler to bring product, empty garbage and swap salvage containers.
• Greet customers on the sales floor and donors in the donation center.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following 5S and safety guidelines.
• Work the process producing primary donations, and back-up as assigned.
• Interact professionally with coworkers, shoppers, and donors.
• Uphold the company Core Values in all duties.

General Summary:

The Production Associate maximizes store profitability by efficiently working the process, sorting and pricing donation to provide a fresh and full store. This role helps to build skills and change lives in each of our communities.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Uses quality standards to sort donations into outbound containers for e-commerce, salvage, or trash
• Quickly determines if item is unit priced or tagged with good/better/best price using standard guideline

• Promptly greets customers when on the sales floor and donors when in the donation center

• Works the process providing back-up to take in donations or put out product, as assigned
• Consistently interacting with co-workers, shoppers, and donors in a professional and pleasant manner
