Job summary

CommunityAid Inc. is seeking a Production Associate to efficiently process incoming donations and prepare products for sale on the retail floor. You will sort, grade, price, and rack items such as shoes, clothing, linens, toys, and electronics while maintaining quality standards.

You must be flexible to rotate through production areas, adhere to company policies, and report safety concerns. The role requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift heavy items.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Six months warehouse or production experience helpful.
  • Proficient reading, writing and speaking English.
  • Scheduling flexibility including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to frequently lift 21–35 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately sort, grade, price, and rack donations for sale.
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area and store.
  • Rotate through production sections to meet store needs.
  • Report to Productions Supervisors and assist with opening/closing tasks.
  • Report theft, injuries, and unsafe conditions to Management.
  • Follow Employee Handbook and company policies.

Our culture assumes we can count on one another, engage with respect and professionalism, and continue our exceptional tradition of serving the public and our partners through teamwork and cooperation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Accurately and efficiently sort, grade, price, and rack all donations (including shoes, linens, clothing, bric brac, toys and electronics) and ensure that product provided to the retail area for sale meets the quality standards of CommunityAid.In order to improve retail sales figures, understand the types of products we sell, current promotions, and pricing standards based on best practices established by the company.Maintain a neat and organized work area (specifically) and the overall store (generally).Understand CommunityAid’s sales and marketing methods, including our tagging system.Work with a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness to meet store needs, rotating through various production sections weekly, daily, or even hourly, as necessary.
