Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Production Associate for Fabrication at our Camden, SC facility. You will join a team focused on mass-producing water heater components and assembling them into completed units, using hand tools, and, where needed, automated equipment.

You will work in a climate-controlled environment, follow safety protocols, and perform quality checks. The role requires stamina, ability to lift 10–20 lbs, and flexibility for overtime and varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Have the ability to understand and carry out detailed oral or written instructions.
• Have good problem-solving skills.
• While performing the duties of their job, the employee is required to stand for extended hours.
• The employee may be required to walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move 10-20 lbs.

Responsibilities

How You’ll Create Possibilities

Principle Responsibilities:

• Performs any production-type functions required
• Uses hand and/or power tools to perform production operations
• May perform packing and/or unpacking functions
• May operate automated equipment to perform production functions
• Cross-checks quality and/or performs quality checks at their workstation
• Performs production functions in a timely mannerMaintain work safety

What You’ll Bring to Our Team

Requirements:

• Job Rotation within your zone
• Preventative Maintenance on your machines.
• Understanding and knowledge of workstation standard work and/or machines, to minimize downtime and quality issues.
• Know how to practice 5S process for your workstation and area.
• PPE will have to be worn including steel toes in all areas.
• Climate controlled facility

Physical working conditions:

Wear safety attire or proper PPE daily.

Usually work indoors. All areas may not be temperature controlled.

Physical demands of the position include: Bending, stooping, twisting, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling Handling and lifting of parts or materials - minimum of 50 lbs.

Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime on an as-needed basis.
