Job summary

TOPY America, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to operate and troubleshoot production line machinery and computers on a full-time basis in Frankfort, KY. Under routine supervision, you will perform manual labor along the production line and support quality control through measurement tools and adjustments to specifications.

You will participate in change-overs, preventive maintenance, and daily production logs, with overtime and rotating shifts as needed to ensure continuous production.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, computers, and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate production line machinery and computers.
• Troubleshoot production machinery.
• Perform equipment change-overs.
• Responsible for quality control, including the use of measurement tools and making adjustments as necessary to produce within specifications.
• Inspect product and reject product outside of specifications.
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOP's) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
• Complete daily production logs.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM's) on production line machinery.
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Assist mechanics and machinists in repair work.
• Perform back-up for warehouse.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
• Order raw materials. Maintain material supply adhering to just in time manufacturing principles.

SHIFT: 12 hour day shift 8am-8:30pm Rotating weeks. Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

• Wear proper protective equipment while performing job duties (i.e., Bump Cap, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, face shield, etc.)
• Occasionally come into contact with various petroleum products such as lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, forming oil and grease.

• Frequently exposed to hot, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full time position, and hours of work are on an 8 hr. shift. This position may also be required to work Monday-Friday 1 st , 2 nd , or 3 rd shift, eight hours a day to assist with shift coverage. Overtime may be required occasionally.
