POSITION SUMMARY

Successfully promote and support the mission of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas as guided by Catholic Social Teachings. Assist with production and handling of TurnStyles’ donations and moving merchandise from the donation bay through inspection, testing, pricing, and to the sales floor. The Production Associate will work toward a daily quote for items produced to the sales floor under the direction of the Production Manager while supporting sales and profitability. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Follow existing guidelines to ensure proper testing, cleaning, pricing, and tagging of merchandise, ensuring quality and verifying no product recalls before placing items on the sales floor.
• Work under the guidance of the Production Manager as a Production Associate for up to 8 hours in an assigned daily position.
• Sort, hang, and tag clothing and other items at a rate of 80+ pieces per hour.
• Assist volunteers with questions regarding the production process and connect them with a supervisor when additional assistance is needed.
• Maintain safe and organized work spaces in all processing areas of the store.
• Serve as a backup on the sales floor and donation bay when needed.
• Position hours may vary; evenings and weekends possible.
• Be a team player.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrate a passion for the mission of Catholic Charities.

• Understand that employees of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas are visible representatives of the Archdiocesan Church and must not publicly oppose Catholic teachings or advocate for positions in conflict with Catholic teaching, including on social media or other digital technologies.
• Complete VIRTUS training, background screening, drug testing, and any ongoing training as required.
• High school graduate; college degree preferred.
• Demonstrate effective communication with and motivation of associates and volunteers.
• Strong customer service experience, effectively handling donor and customer complaints.
• Solid knowledge of retail or thrift store operations preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced work environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift, push, or move up to 25 pounds on a repeated basis.
• Stand and/or walk for long periods of time (up to 9 hours at a time).
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
• Visual functions including near and distance vision and depth perception.
• Work primarily in a warehouse area where temperature changes, extreme cold or heat, noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, dust, and/or gases are present.
