Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Durham, NH, is hiring for an onsite manufacturing role. You will deburr and finish aluminum parts and may operate CNC machines, reading and following procedures to meet strict quality standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of relevant experience, plus familiarity with basic hand tools and safety protocols. The shift is 3:30 PM–midnight, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and follow procedures and work instructions.
  • Commitment to maintaining quality standards with minimal defects.

Responsibilities

  • Deburr and finish aluminum parts and possibly operate CNC machines.
  • Demonstrate proper use of hand and machine tools (files, hammers, chisels, pneumatic tools).
  • Read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions.
  • Ensure parts meet customer deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Participate in cost reduction and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Lift and manipulate up to 35 pounds.

What You Will Do
  • Deburr and finish aluminum parts and possibly operate cnc machines.
  • Demonstrate proper use of simple hand and machine tools to include files, hammers, chisels and pneumatic sanders and die grinders.
  • Accurately read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions.
  • Responsible for quality product standards with no defects.
  • Ensure creation of parts meet customer deadlines and expectations.
  • Comply with applicable elements of quality systems.
  • Participate in cost reduction plans and continuous improvement plans/events as required.
  • Participate in audits.
  • Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certifications as required.
  • Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in clean and orderly condition.
  • Comply with all rules and regulations of RTX, including, but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance, and Human Resources.
  • Examine methods and results for conformance to standards and reinstruct as required.
  • Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.
  • Lift and manipulate up to 35 pounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
