Job summary

Pilgrim’s is hiring for a Production Hourly role. The position emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork in a food-processing environment. Core duties include following procedures, observing equipment, maintaining a clean area, and assisting teammates as needed.

Compensation features a base salary range of $18.81–$22.46 per hour with a $2.00 shift premium for 2nd shift, plus benefits and development opportunities. Applicants are subject to background checks as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to apply common sense.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must be able to work in cool temperatures (~40°F).
• Must be able to stand and use hands for 8–11 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Processes product using tools, manual labor, and equipment per USDA and Pilgrim’s standards.
• Process product according to operating procedures and quality expectations.
• Observes equipment operation and notifies supervisors of malfunctions or safety issues.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Support others with skills and knowledge gained.
• Follow all safety, quality, and food safety policies and maintain a positive atmosphere.
• Recognizes incidents and safety risks and promotes safe habits.
• Participates in process improvement and problem solving.
• Follow animal welfare guidelines.
• Other duties as directed.
