Job Description
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the machining, processing, and assembly of various automotive parts to be shipped to major automobile manufacturers for final assembly.
- Operates forklift equipment (gas or electric) to load/unload, pick, replenish, stack, move and store product.
- Follows and adheres to all shipping/receiving
- Efficiently and accurately locate and place products in the appropriate locations and/or storage area
- Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintains a clean, neat and orderly work area
- Pull orders accurately as assigned
- Stage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage location
- Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process
- Be aware of and follow location and work centre Safety policies and procedures
- Performs housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned
- May operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery
- Sub-assembles auto parts using hand tools
- Meets quality standards and maintains quotas
- Performs quality checks during and after assembly
- Moves product from one area to another using hand carts and dollies
- Resets alarms and make minor machine adjustments
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Able to arrive to work consistently and on time
- Able to work with a team, read and understand instructions, and listen and follow instructions
- lift up to 50 pounds, stand on concrete for extended periods of time .
- withstand temperatures of up to 100 degrees.
