Trulite Glass and Aluminum Solutions is hiring a Production Associate in Salt Lake City, UT. You will cut, temper, fabricate, insulate, laminate and warehouse glass as part of a fast-paced manufacturing team.

The role requires the ability to lift heavy materials, read a tape measure, and work safely in a high-heat environment. Benefits start on day one and weekly pay with potential monthly bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 75 lbs solo, 150 lbs with assistance.
• Able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Able to communicate and work as part of a team.
• Able to work in a high heat manufacturing facility.
• Working knowledge of plant operations, computers, hoists and lifts preferred.
• Glass industry experience is a plus.
• Regular, predictable attendance and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, tempering, fabricating, insulating, laminating and/or warehousing glass.
• Handle and move glass from tables, furnace, rolling racks, trucks or crates for 8-10 hours daily.
• Transport glass/materials between positions to expedite production.
• Strap glass to carts/trucks for safe movement.
• Follow instructions by reading labels and understand paperwork/picking lists.
• Inspect products for abnormalities and report issues to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.
• Conduct daily inspections for unsafe objects and equipment.

Job description

• Total compensation pay range: $18-$21 hr.
• Weekly pay Fridays
• Monthly bonus opportunities!
• Shift Days and Hours: Mon-Fri, 1st Shift 5am Start Time, 2nd Shift 2pm Start Time. Overtime as needed.

Who You Are:

The Ideal candidate will have 1+ year(s) manufacturing experience. Glass industry experience a plus.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Production Associate, you will be responsible for cutting, tempering, fabricating, insulating, laminating and/or warehousing glass.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(other duties may be assigned):

• Handling and moving glass from tables, furnace, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wooden crates for 8-10 hours daily.
• Transporting glass or other materials from one position/location to another in an effort to expedite the production process.
• Strapping glass to carts and or trucks so they are safe for moving.
• Following work instructions by reading labels to expedite the production process; understand and communicate paperwork and labels/picking list.
• Inspecting product for any abnormalities, cracks, chips, etc. and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Daily inspections – Look for any unsafe objects, check equipment, etc.

Skills You Bring:

MINIMUM SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS include the following:

• The ability to lift 75 lbs. by yourself, 150 in tandem.
• The ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• The ability to stand for long periods of time.
• The ability to communicate, and to work as part of a team.
• The ability to work in high heat manufacturing facility.
• Working knowledge of plant operations, computers, hoists, and lifts preferred.
• Glass industry experience is a plus.
