Job summary

Worthington Enterprises in Paducah, KY is seeking a Production Associate / Material Handler to assemble parts and produce small portable cylinders. You will move materials, set up machines, and perform packaging and loading tasks with accuracy.

The role requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic and adherence to safety. 2nd shift 3 PM-11 PM and 3rd shift 11 PM - 7 AM; excellent benefits include health, dental, life insurance, 401K match, paid vacation, parental leave and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for 8 hours and perform physical, repetitive work.
• Good hand-eye coordination required.
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus but not required.
• Competent in basic math and basic computer skills.
• Must read and follow production orders and BOMs.
• Ability to recognize quality issues and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Move material by assembling, producing, finishing, or packaging customer products.
• May operate a basic test line.
• Package finished products for shipment.
• Follow BOM to ensure correct packaging and skidding.
• Perform finishing duties as needed.
• Support ongoing machine operation and safety practices.
• Assist with housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Join our team as a Production Associate / Material Handler. This person is handling & assembling parts in order to produce small portable cylinders. In addition, this role may package/band, weigh, and load/unload material from machines and stage material in a timely and accurate manner. This Material Handler is responsible for assembling parts, setting up machines for use as well as performing multiple tasks throughout the day to ensure safe and quality production. This position requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to perform the duties to the highest standard.

Minimum Pay

Minimum pay starting at $17 -18 an hour, plus $1.50 shift differential!

• 2nd shift 3 PM-11 PM
• 3rd shift 11 PM - 7 AM

Responsibilities

• Moves material with hands by assembling, producing, finishing, or packaging the customer product.
• May be responsible for basic test line operation.
• Package finished product for shipment.
• Follows bill of material in order to match product with proper packaging and skidding.
• May perform finishing duties.
• Performs multiple tasks to ensure ongoing machine operation.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks throughout plant to ensure safe, efficient and quality production of materials.
• May perform housekeeping duties within the plant when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience

• Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and be able to stand on your feet for 8 hrs a day
