Job summary

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Production Associate to help move finished products from printing to readers across the country. No experience necessary—we provide training and opportunities for advancement.

Starting rate is $17.60 per hour, with a 12-hour daylight shift in Harrisonburg, VA. As part of the team, you will operate printing-press support equipment, strap and palletize book sections, and log production data.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry between 20 and 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for the duration of your shift.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Consistent work history.
• Machine experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate robots and stackers that collect sections of books coming off our printing presses.
• Strap book sections together and place them on pallets.
• Enter information about the books coming off the press into a computer, print labels, and place on a pallet.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating the equipment to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.

As our Production Associate, you will:
