Job description

About Right Coast Brands

Right Coast Brands makes beer, hard seltzer, spirits-based cocktails, wine-based RTDs, and functional non-alcoholic beverages out of a single facility in Framingham, Massachusetts. We build those products for beverage brands. Some are early and moving fast, some are names you would know. We also own and operate Winch and Pulley Beer Co., our house brand and taproom. The plant is built for more volume than it currently runs. We are adding people to close that gap.

The Role

Hands on the equipment, every day. You will move between the brewhouse, the cellar, and the packaging floor depending on what is running. Some weeks that means mashing in and transferring. Some weeks it is standing on the canning line for a full shift. Most weeks it is both. This is not a role where you do one thing. In a facility our size, everybody touches everything, and the people who do well here are the ones who want that.

What You Will Do

Brewhouse And Cellar

  • Mash in, lauter, boil, knockout, and clean up behind every step

  • Yeast handling, pitching, and cropping

  • Tank transfers, carbonation, and dry hopping

  • Take gravity, pH, and DO readings and log them accurately

  • Keep the cellar organized and every tank accounted for

Packaging

  • Run the canning line: infeed, fill, seam, date code, and pack out

  • Perform seam checks and fill weight checks on schedule

  • Changeovers between formats and products

  • Kegging, including cleaning, filling, and staging

  • Palletize, wrap, and stage finished goods for pickup

Sanitation

  • CIP on tanks, lines, and packaging equipment

  • Daily and weekly cleaning schedules across the facility

  • Keep the floor safe, dry, and organized

Materials and warehouse

  • Receive inbound raw materials and packaging, verify against the PO

  • Move and stage materials for upcoming runs

  • Cycle counts and accurate inventory records

  • Load outbound freight

You will also be asked to help in the taproom on the equipment side from time to time, mostly draft line cleaning and keeping the glycol and dispense system right.

What You Need

  • 1 to 2 years in production, manufacturing, food and beverage, or a comparable hands-on environment

  • Mechanical aptitude. You are comfortable around equipment and you want to understand how it works, not just operate it

  • Attention to detail. In this business a missed reading or a bad seam costs somebody their whole run

  • Ability to lift 55 lbs repeatedly, stand for a full shift, climb ladders, and work in wet conditions

  • Forklift certified, or willing to certify. We will pay for it

  • Availability for early mornings, and occasional weekends during peak production

  • Reliable transportation to Framingham

What Sets You Apart

  • Brewing or beverage production experience of any kind

  • Canning or bottling line experience

  • Homebrewing, a brewing certificate, or coursework

  • Forklift certification already in hand

  • Food safety training such as HACCP or ServSafe

  • Basic maintenance skills: you have changed a seal, chased a leak, or rebuilt a pump

If you have none of the above but you have worked hard in a plant and you want to learn beverage, apply anyway and say so in your note. We would rather train someone who wants it than hire someone who is bored.

What You Get

  • $22.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience

  • Overtime at time and a half over 40 hours

  • Paid time off

  • $500 per month wellness stipend

  • Forklift certification and safety training paid for

  • Real exposure across categories most brewery jobs never touch: beer, seltzer, spirits-based RTDs, wine-based products, and non-alcoholic

We do not currently offer a group health plan.

Why This One

Most brewery production jobs are one brand and one recipe set. Here you will work across multiple products for multiple clients, plus our own brand. The range of what you will see in a year is wider than almost anywhere else you could take this job.

We are small. That means the person who trains you is the person who runs the plant, and the work you do is visible to everyone including the founder. If you are good and you want more, there is room to move.

Right Coast Brands is an equal opportunity employer. We hire on capability and character.
