Job summary

Sustana's De Pere, WI facility is seeking a production team member for a 12-hour rotating DuPont schedule, day and night shifts on a self-managed team. You will operate wetlap, dryer, and DCS/DeltaV systems while performing quality tests and material handling with forklifts.

Competitive pay starting at $27.04 per hour plus a strong benefits package including 401(k), health/dental/vision, and paid time off. Prior mill/production or warehouse experience preferred; safety-minded candidates

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a paper mill, production or warehouse preferred.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety procedures.
Flexibility to work a Du Pont schedule and overtime as needed.
Forklift experience preferred; training can be provided.

Operate equipment in facility through DCS/Delta V.
On shift maintenance skills.
UnLoad trailers of waste paper with forklifts.
Grade waste paper to determine mix and blends for finished goods quality.
Safely set up batches for the pulping system for quality and profitability.
Communicate with co-workers and shifts about important information.

Job description

Sustana is the leading manufacturer of sustainably produced, premium recycled fiber and paper, utilizing post-consumer material to create high-quality, low carbon footprint products. We have 12 different locations across North America in three different segments of the pulp and paper industry (Paper, Fiber and Recovery). The Sustana Fiber facility in De Pere, WI. is the leading manufacturer of recycled fiber. This position will work 12 hour rotating shifts to include day shifts and night shifts on one of our self-managed production teams. Our highly automated de-inking process is run with state-of-the-art equipment. Including The Responsibilities Below

Work safely and ensure others safety.
Required to learn a minimum of 3 of 6 positions within the mill which can include:
Operate Wetlap machine and Dryer
Run Quality Testing on finished product.
Operate equipment in facility through DCS/Delta V.
On shift maintenance skills
Do chemical unloading and process checks
Operate bale line and load finished goods
Troubleshooting and correcting process issues.
Unload trailers of waste paper with forklifts.
Grade waste paper to determine mix and blends for finished goods quality.
Safely set up batches for the pulping system with the best mix of waste paper for maintaining quality while maximizing profitability.
Communicate with co-workers during the shift and with on-coming/out-going shifts regarding any important information from the shift (how things ran; waste paper quality; finished goods testing results; etc.).

Previous experience in a paper mill, production or warehouse role preferred.
