Job summary

TOPGUM PHARMA INC is seeking a Production Associate in Copiague, NY to join our gummy natural health product line. You will operate production equipment, monitor conditions, document data, and help ensure quality and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma and preferably 2 years of manufacturing experience, with emphasis on safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced, 24/7 facility.

Qualifications

  • High school graduation or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, nutraceuticals, or gummy production considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Operate single-function and multi-function production equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor production conditions and ensure product quality and labeling standards.
  • Maintain FIFO inventory flow and proper documentation of production data.
  • Sanitize machinery and work areas, following food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Assist with general production tasks and support quality and inventory processes.

The Opportunity

The Production Associate plays an important role within the production team, supporting manufacturing operations and ensuring product quality standards are met.

This role involves operating production equipment, monitoring manufacturing conditions, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and supporting quality and inventory processes within a fast-paced food and natural health product manufacturing environment.

What Success Look Like
  • Operate production equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Accurate monitoring of production conditions and product specifications.
  • Consistent adherence to quality and food safety standards.
  • Proper documentation and recording of production data.
  • Effective coordination of product flow and inventory management within curing rooms.
  • Clean and organized production workspace aligned with company standards.
Responsibilities
Production Equipment Operation
  • Set up and operate single-function and multi-function machines used in natural health product manufacturing.
  • Adjust equipment settings according to formulation standards and company operating procedures.
  • Monitor production conditions and adjust machinery based on recipes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Respond to alarms or equipment malfunctions and operate emergency shut-off procedures when required.
Quality Monitoring & Production Support
  • Observe finished products to verify size, shape, and overall quality standards.
  • Record production data accurately and maintain required documentation.
  • Assist Quality team with testing activities such as moisture testing when required.
Inventory & Product Flow
  • Manage curing room inventory and complete regular inventory counts.
  • Support product movement in and out of curing rooms, following FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
  • Pre-stage approved product for packaging based on production schedules.
Sanitation & Food Safety
  • Sanitize machinery and materials at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain production workspaces in accordance with company cleanliness standards.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols.
Equipment & Process Support
  • Manage programming of drying chambers as required.
  • Assist with general production tasks and operational support as needed.

Qualifications
Experience & Education
  • High school graduation or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, nutraceuticals, or gummy production considered a strong asset.
Technical Skills
  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and food production operating standards.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read instructions and recipes.
  • English reading and writing proficiency required.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance practices considered an asset.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Stand or walk for an extended period on a hard surface.
  • Reach, kneel, or crouch.
  • Lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs. repetitively.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work shift work in a 24/7 production environment.
  • Be present in manufacturing environment which can be noisy, hot, cold and require PPE.
