Job summary

Ornua Co-operative Limited is seeking a reliable employee to join our energetic 2nd shift team in Byron, Minnesota. The position offers starting wages of $20.50 per hour plus a 15% shift differential, with opportunities for wage increases through additional training and quarterly bonuses.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for weighing and prepping cheese ingredients, with heavy lifting required. Benefits include health insurance options, PTO, 401k matching, and various other employee perks.

Qualifications

• Solid work history is essential.
• Prior food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to stand for long periods (10 hour days).

• Open barrels, block, or bags of cheese and other ingredients.
• Weigh ingredients according to individual batch sheets.
• Transfer ingredients from the scale to pick up tables.

Skills

Wage

$20.50+ 15% shift differential, opportunity to increase with additional training + 8% quarterly bonus opportunity

Schedule

Monday - Thursday, Friday overtime as necessary

Duties

• Open barrels, block, or bags of cheese and other ingredients
• Weigh the ingredients to the specified amount per individual batch sheets
• Use knives and wires to cut and trim the ingredients to the correct weights
• Transfer ingredients from the scale to the pick up tables
• Heavy lifting and the ability to load cheese into grinders is required
• Palletize finished product at the end of the packaging line
• Any other duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Solid work history is a must
• Prior food manufacturing experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time- (10 hour days)
• Ability work with hands and to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices a plus
