Job summary

James Hardie in Ohio is seeking a Production Operator to support accident‑free operations and quality control on the manufacturing floor. The role requires adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards while producing according to product specifications.

The schedule is 6:45am to 7:00pm on a 2/2/3 rotation, with every other weekend; pay starts at $19 per hour plus a $3,000 bonus ($1,500 at 3 months and $1,500 at 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Contributes to accident‑free operations and compliance to health, safety, and quality requirements.
• Assist the department in producing a quality product based on specifications.
• Monitor and complete quality checks to meet product standards prior to packaging.
• Perform pallet placement and proper packaging techniques for finished material.
• Move material to designated areas as needed.
• Assist extrusion operator with cleaning functions when necessary.
• Communicate daily issues to production staff and leaders as needed.
• Follow plant safety procedures to ensure personal and team safety.
• Adhere to company policies, practices, and procedures.
• Complete production operator reports and related paperwork.
• Attach labels according to product specifications.
• Perform housekeeping duties in the production area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

The schedule for this position is 6:45am to 7:00pm, 2/2/3 schedule, with working every other weekend.

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour.

This position is eligible for a $3,000 Bonus!

$1,500 at 3 Months!

$1,500 at 6 Months!

Core Responsibilities:

• Contributes to accident‑free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations.
• Assist the department in producing a quality product based upon product specifications.
• Monitor and complete quality checks to assure quality of the products (color, surface, size, etc.) meets product standards prior to packaging.
• Perform placement of pallets and proper packaging techniques for finished material as directed.
• Move material to designated areas, as needed.
• Assist extrusion operator with all machine cleaning functions including saws, tanks, etc. when necessary.
• Communicate daily issues and pertinent information to production assistants, assistant operators, operators and team leaders as needed.
• Follow all plant safety procedures in order to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
• Understand and follow all company policies, practices, and procedures.
• Responsible for detailed completion of production operator reports.
• Complete additional quality and production paperwork as necessary.
• Complete and attach labels according to the product specifications.
• Perform housekeeping duties in the production area.
• Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by leadership.
