Job summary

Biocomposites is seeking a production assistant at Keele Head Office to join the assembly team, ensuring high quality finished medical products. The role requires careful attention to batch records, strict cleanroom procedures, and accurate documentation with PPE adherence.

You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours, in a highly regulated environment, supported by a proactive team and comprehensive benefits. The position offers growth opportunities within a global medical devices company.

Qualifications

  • 12 months manufacturing experience in a production operative role.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Ability to work with precision and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative within a controlled environment.
  • Ability to wear PPE and work in a cleanroom.
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a cleanroom environment with PPE, following Batch Manufacturing records.
  • Complete routine tasks within the department and maintain documentation.
  • Ensure training is up to date and highlight gaps.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support manufacturing functions.
  • Report quality or equipment issues to supervisor promptly.
  • Comply with Biocomposites policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Support environmental monitoring and housekeeping activities.

Our manufacturing facility at Keele is a crucial part of the business and where our products are produced for the global market. As a production assistant, you will form part of the assembly team, and work with accuracy to ensure the quality of our finished medical products.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE and gowns, and work in a cleanroom environment
  • Ability to follow and adhere to written instructions, predominantly Batch Manufacturing records
  • Ability to fill in prime documentation
  • Complete routine tasks within department
  • Ensure fully trained in all tasks that are assigned, and highlight personal training gaps
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
  • Report problems with quality process, equipment or materials to supervisor or deputy
  • Comply with all policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements of Biocomposites
  • Cleaning and environmental monitoring to required standards
  • Maintaining and performing good housekeeping practices
Required experience
  • 12-months previous manufacturing experience working within a production operative role.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice.
  • Ability to work with precision and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative within a controlled working environment.
  • Ability to wear PPE and work within a clean room environment.
  • Previous experience of working in a highly regulated environment is advantageous.
LOCATION:

Keele Head Office, Monday - Friday, 8.00 – 4.00, 37.5 hours per week
