Job summary

MCC, located in West Henrietta, New York, is hiring for a Pressroom General Worker on 3rd shift. This role trains you to operate flexographic presses and develop a trade toward Press Operator positions. You will participate in setup, material handling, quality checks, and production support in a fast-paced environment.

Starting pay is $20.26 per hour, with a 3rd shift differential of $1.85 per hour. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and internal promotion opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
• Printing experience is a plus but not required; interest in learning a skilled trade is essential.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare inks, coatings, and press materials for printing.
• Monitor coating viscosity and production quality.

Why This Role Is Different

Most manufacturing jobs teach you how to run a machine. -- This position teaches you a trade.

The Pressroom General Worker role is designed to develop future Press Operators. You'll work directly with printing presses and learn the skills needed to advance into higher-level manufacturing positions. Many of our skilled operators started in entry-level roles just like this one!

What You'll Do

As a Pressroom General Worker, you'll support the operation of flexographic printing presses while learning the printing process from experienced operators.

• Help with press wash-ups and changeovers
• Maintain material levels throughout production
• Remove waste and keep work areas organized
• Support safety, quality, and production goals
• Learn machine operation and advanced production processes
• Perform general manufacturing and production support activities

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move throughout the production area for extended periods
• Frequent walking throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to safely work around production equipment and moving machinery
• Ability to perform physical activities including reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting

Vision Requirements

• Vision correctable to 20/20
• Ability to distinguish colors
• Ability to perform detailed quality inspections
