Job summary

Star Manufacturing International, Inc. is seeking a Production Assembly Technician in Tennessee to assemble parts for commercial foodservice equipment. You will read engineering drawings to determine materials, use tools and fixtures, and wire components per diagrams.

The role emphasizes quality checks, safety, teamwork, and the ability to cross-train in other areas to meet customer demand. Starting rate is $17.73/hr plus a $1.50 shift premium, with benefits after 60 days.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, assembly instructions and BOMs.
• Proficient reading and interpreting drawings to determine materials and tools.
• Able to follow safety procedures and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to assemble parts into finished equipment.
• Use handheld and pneumatic tools and fixtures to assemble components.
• Wire electrical components from wiring diagrams.
• Utilize measuring, locating and testing tools for quality checks.
• Maximize throughput while minimizing scrap and material losses.
• Conduct material and finished goods appearance checks.
• Cross-train in other assembly areas as needed to meet demand.
• Maintain a clean, safe work center and follow safety procedures.

The Production Assembly Technician reports to the Team Leader and assembles parts into finished commercial foodservice equipment.

Summary

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine material, tools, and equipment needed
• Correct use of handheld tools, pneumatic tools, and assembly fixtures
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams to wire electrical components
• Use various measuring, locating, and testing tools
• Maximize throughput while minimizing scrap and material losses
• Perform quality checks and appearance checks of material and finished goods
• Willing to cross-train in other assembly areas when necessary to meet changing customer demand
• Follow all safety procedures, support a culture of a safe and healthy workplace
• Maintain proper housekeeping of work center

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Proficient reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, assembly instructions, and bills of material
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work with others in a team environment
• Able to lift 50LB, bend, stoop, twist, walk, and stand for extended periods

Additional information

Starting Rate of $17.73/hr ($1.50 shift premium)

Benefits beginning 1st of the month following first 60 days.
