Job summary

Taylor Corporation is seeking a Production Assembly and Support team member for our Pompano Beach, FL facility. The role involves hands-on assembly, labeling, packing, quality checks, and inter-department cooperation to meet production orders.

The position operates on the 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm) with occasional overtime. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret work orders and safety regulations.

• Basic math skills for measurements and unit conversions.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand assembly tasks and apply labels to products.
• Pack and inspect products for quality defects.
• Move materials and stack pallets as required.
• Follow job instructions to complete orders.
• Maintain attendance and cooperate with team.
• Willingness to float across departments when needed.
• Follow safety rules and operate in standing or seated positions.
• Roles include Crater/Packer II style positions and general laborer tasks.

Your Opportunity:

Taylor Corporation is looking for a Production Assembly and Support team member in our Pompano Beach-FL facility.

Work Authorization

To be considered for the Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform various hand operations such as applying labels to products, cut, wrap products, use tape dispensers and the use of feet for flexion/repetitive motion as in operating foot controls
• Pack products in boxes and tape lids of boxes shut appropriately for proper shipping while inspecting product for any quality defects
• Stack, pack, and transport printed materials in various stages of completion on pallets as it accumulates on delivery tables of specific equipment
• Responsible for reading and following specific job instructions to produce an order according to spec
• Maintain attendance according to facility guidelines as well as be able to work constructively with co-workers, supervisors, vendors while performing daily responsibilities.
• Ability and willingness to float across departments and assist where needed
• Follow safety rules, procedures and standards
• Duties may occasionally be performed while seated but will likely be performed while standing
• General Examples: Crater/Packer II, Light Assembler II, Folder Operator Assistant, Floor Assembler II, General Laborer, Sr., Electronics Assembler I, Precision Assembler I, May operate base equipment when needed

Your Shift

• 1st Shift; Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm with occasional overtime as needed

You Must Have

• Ability to read, interpret, and decipher general written instructions from documents such as work orders, parts orders, safety regulations, operating procedures, or other job specific written documents
• Ability to speak and communicate effectively with fellow employees
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Requirements Within This Position

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
• Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)
