Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking an assembler for 2nd shift to assemble mechanical enclosures and related components. The role involves reading blueprints, using hand tools and drills, and performing quality checks to ensure high-quality outputs. Flexibility to cover machine operator tasks is noted, with OT as needed.

Job description

The Assembler is responsible for assembling or fabricating mechanical parts, pieces, or products using various tools and equipment according to required specifications. This role involves performing repetitive tasks at workstations or on assembly lines to mass-produce high-quality enclosures. Assemblers will also be cross-trained as Machine Operators for flexibility with production needs.

2nd Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00pm to 10:15pm with OT as needed on Saturdays

  • Read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, manufacturing drawings, and other technical documents to accurately assemble products.
  • Use handheld tools such as screwdrivers and drill guns to assemble components.
  • Maintain inventory levels at the workstation to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet stringent quality standards.
  • Identify any product defects and report these to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
  • Rework or repair assembled products as per engineering specifications or customer requests.
  • Adhere to all quality standards and safety procedures during assembly processes.
  • Complete daily tasks as assigned by the functional area and Supervisor.
  • Fill in for Machine Operators as needed to support production.
