Belcan Corporation in Simi Valley, CA is seeking a Production Assembler 2 for first shift. The role involves mechanical/electromechanical assembly, inspections, and time/quantity data recording, with on-the-job training and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Skilled in routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations.
  • Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret company documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, manufacturing instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong manual dexterity with the ability to work with small parts.
  • Ability to recognize and resolve routine problems within the work area by selecting solutions from established options.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and procedures.
  • Conducts inspections of own work and/or the work of other associates to ensure accuracy and compliance with company and/or customer drawings and specifications.
  • Applies process specifications governing the production of products within an assigned cell and records production time and quantity data.
  • Maintains the work area in accordance with company guidelines and participates in events as required.
  • Performs basic welding, brazing, or soldering tasks and may operate light machinery such as sandblasting, electro-etching equipment, and presses.
  • Actively follows and demonstrates all safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. May be required to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and additional hours as needed.
