Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, construction, mechanical, or assembly is preferred.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints/production docs.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Strong attention to quality and detail.
  • Ability to work at a fast, consistent production pace.
  • Dependable attendance and overtime availability.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components and subassemblies per production specs.
  • Position and fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets, etc.
  • Operate drills, impact wrenches, rivet guns, grinders, sanders, routers, and similar tools.
  • Measure materials using tape measures.
  • Read and follow blueprints and production documentation.
  • Prepare surfaces for assembly and conduct quality checks.
  • Maintain a safe, organized workstation and meet daily goals.
  • Collaborate with teammates to achieve production targets.

Job description

Position OverviewWe are hiring Production Assemblers for manufacturing facilities in Stoughton, Evansville, and Brodhead, Wisconsin. These positions are responsible for assembling components and completing various stages of the production process while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.This is a hands-on manufacturing position that requires comfort working with hand and power tools, measuring materials, fastening components, and working as part of a production team. The underlying Assembler I role involves multiple stages of the trailer-building process.Job ResponsibilitiesAssemble components and subassemblies according to production specificationsPosition and fasten parts using bolts, screws, rivets, and other fastenersOperate hand and power tools including drills, impact wrenches, rivet guns, grinders, sanders, routers, and similar equipmentMeasure materials and components using a tape measureRead and follow blueprints, work instructions, and production documentationDrill through materials including aluminum, steel, and wood as requiredPrepare metal surfaces and components for assemblyPerform quality checks throughout the assembly processMaintain a safe, organized, and productive workstationWork closely with other production employees to meet daily manufacturing goalsMaintain dependable attendance and work scheduled overtime as requiredThe position specifically involves fastening and assembling components, drilling aluminum, steel, and wood, and completing measurement layouts from blueprints.QualificationsManufacturing, production, construction, mechanical, or assembly experience is preferredComfortable working with hand and power toolsAbility to accurately read a tape measureAbility to read and understand blueprints or willingness to develop blueprint-reading skillsBasic math and measurement skillsMechanical aptitude and ability to learn new production processesStrong attention to quality and detailAbility to work at a fast and consistent production paceDependable attendanceAbility to communicate and work effectively as part of a teamWillingness to work Friday overtime when requiredThe position requires employees to understand blueprints, tape measures, and applicable company documents while possessing basic math skills.Tools & EquipmentDepending on the assigned production area, employees may work with:Hand and power drillsImpact wrenchesRivet and Huck gunsGrinders and disk sandersHydraulic punchesPneumatic equipmentRouters and drill pressesTable sawsTape measures and other measuring toolsRequired PPE may include safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, hearing protection, and additional safety equipment based on the assigned task.
