Oak Street Manufacturing in Monticello, IA is seeking a Production Assembler to join our employee-owned team. You will assemble and finish restaurant furniture components, read work orders, and help ensure on-time shipping.

The role offers four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days, a clean heated and air-conditioned shop, and opportunities to learn across multiple areas as automation and robotics expand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Ability to read and understand specifications.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Strong organizational skills and good attendance are essential.
• Previous forklift and CNC experience is preferred, CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble/finish products individually or in teams.
• Read work orders to determine assembly steps.
• Maintain safety and keep work area clean.
• Support shop upkeep and end-of-day tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

FIRST SHIFT: FULL-TIME, PERMANENT POSITION

Oak Street Manufacturing, an employee-owned restaurant furnishings manufacturer and distributor headquartered in Monticello, IA, is seeking a motivated Production Assembler to join our growing team. Schedule Options:

Choose the schedule that works for you:

• Four 10-hour days: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday-Thursday)
• Five 8-hour days: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday-Friday)

General Description:

This role involves the production of manufactured products, including restaurant table tops, booths, and casework. The assembler is accountable for ensuring production orders are completed accurately and packaged for their scheduled ship date.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work individually or as part of a team to assemble/finish products.
• Read and understand work orders to determine required assembly steps.
• Practice safe work habits and adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean workplace and participate in periodic and end-of-day shop upkeep.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Skills & Experience:

• High school diploma/GED - required.
• Basic math skills - required.
• Ability to read and understand specifications - required.
• Reliable form of transportation - required.
• Strong organizational skills - required.
• Positive attitude and good attendance - a must.
• Previous experience operating forklifts - preferred.
• Previous experience operating CNC machines - preferred.
• Candidates with a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) will be given preference.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
