Job description

Employee must interact well with students and staff and be able to serve meals in a courteous and timely manner. Employee will work as a member of the Food Service Team. Must have the ability to take responsibility of setting up and performing work tasks in the dish room.

Qualifications
  • Completion of the 10 hour sanitation course
  • Have a fun-loving disposition and interact well with students.
  • Organized and able to plan day for maximum productivity.
  • Attend mandatory monthly meetings.
  • Maintain good working relationship with inter-departmental staff and other departments.
  • Provide suggestions for improving food quality and general operation of food service program.
  • Must be able to work under crowded and increased noise level conditions.
  • Must be willing and able to relocate to different schools when occasion warrants.
Responsibilities
  • Employee will set up dish room, prepare sanitation supplies for monitors or food service aides for lunch service.
  • Assist with setting, serving line up and monitoring during mealtime if necessary.
  • Responsible for cleaning dish room and machine at the end of each day.
  • Will also assist with putting stock away labeling, dating, and rotating using the FIFO method. (first in, first out).
Safety and Sanitation
  • Report all malfunctions to the Director.
  • Make daily and weekly inspections of kitchen conditions in order to maintain high standards of sanitation and safety.
  • Perform duties without a direct threat to the health and safety of others.
