Job summary

Woodgrain, Inc. is seeking an assembler to build pre-hung door units in a production setting. You will follow work orders, inspect finished products, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while coordinating with team members to keep the assembly line running smoothly.

The position supports Woodgrain’s 70-year heritage in mouldings, doors, and windows across the U.S. with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and efficiency on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a warehouse setting preferred.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to use manufacturing tools (chop saw, door machine, router, nail gun).
• Forklift certification may be required depending on branch.
• Familiarity with door components and assembly techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pre-hung door units per specifications.
• Review work orders to ensure correct customer specs.
• Inspect finished products for defects and touch up as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Coordinate with colleagues to ensure smooth assembly line operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

PositionOverview:TheAssembler is responsible for assembling pre-hung door units in accordance with customer specifications and established company safety and quality standards.

Reviews and follows work orders to ensure doors are built to the correct customer specifications

Thoroughly inspect all finished products for defects or irregularities and touch-up as necessary

Maintains clean and orderly work areato ensure safety

Communicates with fellow employees to ensure safe and smooth operations of the assembly line

Other duties as described by manager

Role Requirements:

High school diploma or GEDrequired. Experience working in a warehouse setting preferred

Ability to carefully follow directions

Ability to use manufacturingtools/machinery (chop saw, door machine, router, nail gun, etc.)

Forklift certification (depending upon branch requirements)

Familiarity with door components and assembly techniques preferred

Physical Demands:

Exceptional finger and manual dexterity required to successfully perform required tasks, including the ability to frequently lift up to 85 pounds and/or pushing 100 pounds, bend, crouch, stand, and sit for long durations.

The work environment requires the employee to work regularly near moving mechanical parts and to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally is exposed to harsh outside weather conditions. This position may require the employee to use safety equipment such as, protective eyewear, earplugs, gloves, safety shoes etc.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions
