Job summary

Kinney Manufacturing, LLC is seeking a production associate to operate multiple pieces of equipment and read engineering prints to manufacture parts that meet customer orders. This hands-on role requires attention to detail and the ability to work safely on the shop floor.

You will accept assigned jobs, monitor equipment at shift start, report material or equipment issues, document scrap, and assist with maintenance tasks as needed while supporting a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend English and safety rules.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and working from printed specs.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Six months to one year of related manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accept assigned jobs and complete them within the allocated time.
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order at shift start or when starting a new job.
• Notify Production Lead of any issues with materials or equipment.
• Document scrap creation and assist with determination of reason for scrap.
• Assist maintenance personnel with any maintenance work on production equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

Education and/or Experience:

• Six months to one year related experience and/or training.

Communication Skills:

• Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Other Skills:

• Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• This is strenuous work requiring good corrected vision, balance, standing continuously for periods of up to 5 hours, and repetitive stooping, kneeling, reaching, pinching and lifting.
