Job summary

ScioTeq is seeking a Product Validation Engineer to join its NPI team. You will translate requirements into test strategies, create procedures and test setups, and validate product compliance with high-stakes avionics standards.

You’ll execute tests, report outcomes, and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams in an international environment. You will also support troubleshooting, contribute to improvement of verification activities, and coordinate testing aligned with development plans,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or master’s engineering degree preferably in electronics engineering.
  • Strong affinity for product quality and conformity.
  • Enjoys working in an international multi-disciplinary team.
  • Hands-on troubleshooter.
  • Good communication skills and English fluency.
  • Knowledge of environmental, EMI and/or electrical power standards (RTCA‑DO‑160, MIL‑STD‑461, MIL‑STD‑810) is an advantage.
  • Willing to travel to international test houses.

Responsibilities

  • Translate product requirements into test approach and test requirements.
  • Collaborate on the most optimal test plan to validate product compliance and reliability during development and product qualification.
  • Create test procedures and test setups with special tooling if required.
  • Execute testing in internal test infrastructure; support external test houses for limited testing.
  • Create test reports to internal quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Support the development team to meet product requirements and analyze/troubleshoot failures or non-compliancy.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of verification activities and provide input to development.
  • Plan and coordinate test activities in line with product development plans.

Job description

Are you passionate about ensuring that complex, high-tech products perform flawlessly in the most critical environments? Do you want to play a key role in validating systems used in Avionics, Defense & Security, and Air Traffic Control?

As Product Validation Engineer, you are member of the NPI product development team and contribute to the development of Avionics, Defense & Security and Air Traffic Control systems. You will evaluate its compliancy of the products to its requirements, standards and regulations during the design and qualification phase. The correct, reliable and safe operation is critical for the market in which the products are used.

Your responsibilities
  • You translate product requirements into test approach and test requirements.

  • You make and collaborate to the most optimal test plan to validate product compliancy and reliability during development and product qualification.

  • You create test procedures and test setups with special tooling if required.

  • You execute testing in internal test infrastructure mainly. For a subset of testing that cannot be performed internally you support the testing in a number of preferred external international test houses. There is a variety of tests that are performed: temperature, vibration, humidity, EMI, power,…

  • Finally you create the test reports to internal quality standards and customer expectation.

  • You support the development team in the development to meet product requirements and to analyze and troubleshoot in case of product failures or non‑compliancy.

  • You strive to continuous improvement of the verification activities as well as input to the development team.

  • You plan and coordinate test activities in line with the product development plans.

Profile
  • You have a bachelor or master’s engineering degree preferably in electronics engineering.

  • You have a strong affinity for product quality and conformity.

  • You like to work and cooperate in an international multi-disciplinary team.

  • You are committed to contribute to the development of high end technological products for critical markets.

  • You are a hands‑on troubleshooter.

  • You have good communication skills and speak English fluently.

  • Knowledge of environmental, EMI and/or electrical power standards (RTCA‑DO‑160, MIL‑STD‑461, MIL‑STD‑810) is an advantage.

  • You are willing to travel to the international test houses.
