Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks an experienced Product Trainer - Aircraft Maintenance to join our Edwards AFB, CA team. The role requires developing and delivering training for maintenance of aircraft, systems, and ground support equipment, ensuring safety and reliability.

The position emphasizes establishing training programs, maintaining records, and coaching other trainers, with an expectation of worldwide travel and a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience; or 6 years of related experience in lieu of formal degree.
• Experience in military or civilian aircraft avionics/electrical maintenance.
• Must be willing to travel worldwide for at least 25% annually.
• Active US Government Secret clearance (with background investigation within past 5 years or Continuous Evaluation).
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance in a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Establish and direct maintenance training systems; conduct classroom instruction, self-paced learning, and practical instruction for aircraft and systems.
• Provide training records management for assigned personnel and work centers.
• Provide formal instructor training to other Maintenance Trainers.
• Develop training programs by analyzing current and future operating needs.
• Create and maintain training material using manuals, documents, and drawings.
• Support divisions in determining training needs and conducting maintenance training programs.
• Maintain program-wide training and qualification record systems.
• Stay current with technical developments and teaching methodologies.
• Lead small training projects with minimal oversight.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for an experienced Product Trainer - Aircraft Maintenance to join our team at Edwards AFB, CA.

Roles And Responsibilities Will Include

• Ability to work under minimum supervision with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including oral and written communication skills.
• Establishing and directing maintenance training systems, conducting classroom instruction, self-paced learning, and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground support equipment, tools, test equipment, and facilities, according to established procedures.
• Providing training records management for assigned personnel and work centers.
• Providing formal instructor training to other Maintenance Trainers.
• Analyzing current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs.
• Writing, editing, and sustaining training material for instruction using technical manuals, process documents, and product drawings.
• Providing guidance and supporting all divisions in determining their training needs and developing and conducting their maintenance training programs.
• Establishing and directing the maintenance of program wide training and qualification record systems.
• Maintaining currency in technical developments, technical training, audiovisual techniques, and should be proficient in teaching methodologies.
• Ability to initiate and execute small training projects with minimal management oversight.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience; or 6 years of related experience in lieu of formal degree.
• Experience in military or civilian aircraft avionics/electrical maintenance.
• Following commencement of employment, must maintain required medical/training qualifications for worldwide travel to completely support statement of work.
• Must be willing to travel worldwide for at least 25% annually in support of statement of work.
• Must hold an Active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active US Government Top Secret Clearance.
• Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
• Formal Military Instructor Certification/Degree.
• Experience in courseware development/ISD/ADDIE modeling.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Management Systems, Learning Content Management Systems, Adobe Captivate products, and other related software suites.

Primary Level Salary Range: $69,000.00 - $103,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
