Daisy Brand in Garland, Texas seeks a Product Technician to support product developers, sensory specialists, and scientists. You will conduct precise analytical testing of ingredients and fermented products, set up sensory tests, and maintain lab equipment and records.

Responsibilities

  • Request, track, and maintain products for review and evaluation
  • Prepare sensory training and calibration samples
  • Set up and support internal sensory tests
  • Conduct routine to complex analytical testing of ingredients and fermented products
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Record, label, and manage finished product samples
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and equipment
  • Prepare and ship samples as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and data integrity
  • Other duties as assigned

Job description

Position Summary

The Product Technician supports product developers, sensory specialists, and scientists on a wide range of projects across the organization. This role is responsible for conducting precise analytical testing of ingredients and fermented products using a wide range of laboratory techniques, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of results. The Product Technician reports to the Product Manager and works with others in Research, Analytical Sciences, and Quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Request, track, and maintain products for product review and evaluation program
  • Prepare sensory training and calibration samples
  • Set up and support internal sensory tests (product profiling, discrimination test, and acceptance tests) as needed for the sensory scientist or manager
  • Conduct routine to complex analytical testing of ingredients and fermented products following standard laboratory procedures
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with established protocols
  • Record, label, and manage finished product samples for immediate testing, and various shelf-life studies
  • Ensure laboratory cleanliness, including cleaning and maintaining glassware and equipment
  • Prepare and ship samples as needed
  • Maintain accurate records, timely test records and ensure data integrity

Education and Experience
