Cummins Inc. is offering an engineering internship focused on product verification, validation, and test analytics. The role emphasizes investigating test systems, supporting design and validation, and coordinating with lab teams and suppliers to ensure high quality decisions.
Interns will work on cross-functional tasks, applying problem solving methods and improving test processes while developing technical competency and collaboration skills in a hands-on environment.
This product focused position verifies and validates the functionality of Cummins’ products across a wide range of customer requirements, across a variety of applications, in various environments. This work plans, tracks, and evaluates results from a wide range of analyses and functional tests to assess product risk and performance. These results are expected to drive quality decisions and proactively resolve product issues before the product reaches the customer.

Summer Intern: Students must be enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. college or university, actively pursuing a degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, MBA, or JD), with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Candidates must currently reside within the continental United States. Students are expected to work 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks and a maximum of 12 weeks.
F-1 visa students must have approved Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or Occupational Practical Training (OPT) before their Early Career assignment begin. CPT/OPT must relate to their degree and be authorized by their university. Students are responsible for securing this approval through their school’s international office.
Students must be able to manage their academic responsibilities without compromising their job performance.
