Job summary

eNGINE is partnering with a growing Pittsburgh organization to fill a Production Support Engineer role focused on overnight data operations. You will monitor data feeds, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure partner data files are delivered accurately and on time.

This hands-on role requires strong SQL, Databricks experience, and the ability to work independently overnight. Python is a plus, and you will document incidents and work with the daytime team to improve reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Production Support, Data Operations, Data Engineering, or a similar technical support role.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to independently troubleshoot data issues.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks is required.
• Python experience is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working independently during overnight hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor overnight automated data feeds and respond to production alerts.
• Investigate and resolve data validation failures using SQL and Databricks.
• Regenerate, validate, and deliver corrected data files within SLA.
• Troubleshoot production issues from root cause through resolution.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and handoffs for the daytime engineering team.
• Partner with developers to identify recurring issues and improve long‑term reliability.
• Contribute to operational runbooks and continuous process improvements.

What You'll Do

• Monitor overnight automated data feeds and respond to production alerts.
• Investigate and resolve data validation failures using SQL and Databricks.

• Document incidents, resolutions, and handoffs for the daytime engineering team.

What We're Looking For
