Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Principal Product Strategist to lead ASO modernization across roadmap priorities, focusing on data integration, network needs, plan design, and billing modernization.

You will translate diverse stakeholder needs into prioritized capabilities, measurable outcomes, and actionable roadmaps that support self-funded growth and improved business processes. This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years in product management, product strategy, or health plan operations.
• Experience translating ambiguous business problems into product capabilities, roadmaps, and outcomes.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives with internal and external partners.
• Experience with healthcare payer operations, self-funded/ASO products, funding and payment models, billing, eligibility, or related health plan capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead ASO modernization efforts across current and future roadmap priorities.
• Drive data integration, client network needs, plan design, and billing modernization.
• Develop reusable platform capabilities and scalable product options.
