Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Product Sourcing Engineer to drive strategic supply network development and cost management across the product hardware lifecycles.

You will collaborate with suppliers and cross‑functional teams in engineering, quality, and manufacturing to ramp production, consolidate BOMs, manage CAPEX, and optimize lead times.

The role includes a training program with a 3‑month relocation and housing support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection for a specific product, leveraging our approved supplier list
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via activities such as:
• Concept scoping to quickly solidify requirements
• Feature trade-off / trade tables
• Should cost / Clean sheet models
• Joint design development, via clear statements of work
• Drive the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, working with Quality & Manufacturing, to ramp production internally and with our suppliers with high flexibility
• Accountable for all NPI component procurement, on-time and correctly, to scale
• Manage the CAPEX throughout NPI
• Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility

About The Team

The Launched Effects team at Anduril is responsible for scaling the manufacturing and delivery of the Altius family of systems (including the Altius-600 and Altius-700). As the premier Air-Launched Effects platform for the U.S. military and its allies, Altius is redefining modern warfare. These tube-launched, autonomous aerial systems must be built to survive extreme deployment environments, requiring precision manufacturing of advanced composites, complex avionics, and modular payload integrations for ISR, Electronic Warfare, and kinetic strike capabilities.

About The Job

The Product Sourcing Engineer drives the strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril’s product hardware, across their lifecycles, by collaborating with suppliers and cross-functionally, including folks in engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

• This position can be permanently based in Costa Mesa, CA OR Ashville, OH, and requires candidates to temporarily relocate for a comprehensive 3-month training program: 1 month in Santa Ana, CA, followed by 2 months (approximately) in Atlanta, GA. To support your transition, Anduril will fully provide and cover all corporate housing, transportation, and travel accommodations during this training period.
