Job summary

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Product Software Engineer II to deliver scalable software in a fast-paced environment. You will develop, test, and maintain features across Java, full-stack, and DevOps domains, collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to architecture decisions.

You will participate in code reviews, mentoring, and agile ceremonies, ensuring reliable performance and quality across services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, including Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and scalable, resilient applications.
• Understanding of KPI monitoring and core tools and technologies.
• Ability to work in Agile environments and contribute to design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain features within existing systems and contribute to architectural direction.
• Review code, write documentation, and perform debugging of small to medium projects.
• Communicate status and present technical issues to senior team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on deliverables and architecture.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and help onboard new team members.
