Job summary

Google Information Security Engineer, Product Security Engineering is a mid-level role located in multiple U.S. offices including New York, Kirkland, and more. You will protect Google Cloud by reviewing designs, analyzing threats, and engineering secure systems.

The role emphasizes cross-team collaboration, incident response, and proactive security improvements. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years in security assessments, design reviews, threat modeling, and coding

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
• 2 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
• 2 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.

Responsibilities

• Perform security reviews, reproduce vulnerabilities, design secure protocols, and write tests.
• Review and develop secure operational practices, and provide security guidance for engineers and support staff.
• Review designs and drive defense in depth and security by default in reviews and longer engagements.
• Look for vulnerabilities with reverse engineering, fuzzing, and static analysis.
• Respond to vulnerabilities with repros, variant analysis, mitigations, and hardening; focus on security strategy for Google Cloud.
