Job summary

Boeing is seeking a cybersecurity-focused systems engineer to assess risks and develop security requirements for aircraft products and production systems. You will work with FAA, engineering teams, and penetration testers to validate coverage and maintain secure, resilient, and compliant in-service airplanes.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related field and 5+ years of systems engineering or security experience, with strong communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of related work experience in systems engineering, software/hardware integration.
• Experience coordinating and presenting technical content to varied audiences.
• Comprehensive understanding of airplane systems and networks.

Responsibilities

• Assess risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of product assets and production systems.
• Develop security requirements and coordinate with system stakeholders.
• Produce technical data and documentation per security processes.
• Coordinate with penetration testers to validate coverage.
• Review certification artifacts with FAA and engineers.
• Lead technical solutions with awareness of team judgements.
• Drive sustainment activities for security, safety, and resiliency of airplanes.
• Oversee configuration management and security of data, networks, and resources.
