Job summary

The Boeing Company in Berkeley, MO is seeking an entry-level Product Security Engineer to help integrate and liaison cybersecurity activities on multiple programs, including F-15, F/A-18, T-7A, MQ-25, and related programs. This is a technical engineering role, not an IT cyber position, requiring strong systems-level thinking across Electrical, Software, Systems, Avionics and Mission Systems.

The role is 1st shift, 100% onsite, with domestic travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Statistics, or other scientific field.
  • ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.
  • US citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and non-engineering stakeholders including DOD customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure architecture and designs support program cybersecurity requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership, development and verification of products.
  • Oversee product design/development and sustainment/modification.
  • Collect data, analyze results, and develop test procedures.
  • Travel domestically as needed.
  • Prepare technical documentation to meet contractual deliverables.

The Boeing Company is seeking an Entry-level Product Security Engineer in Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO.

The Air Dominance (AD) Product Security Engineering Capability is seeking an engineerto assist Product Cybersecurity integration and liaison activities on BDS programs on several programs like F-15, F/A-18, T-7A, MQ-25, and Proprietary activities.

Product Security and Product Cybersecurity is an emerging technical field that is looking for strong “systems of systems” thinkers and natural integrators/testers. This role is not an IT Cyber role but is, instead, a technical engineering position.

The best candidates will have diverse interests and experience to help put different lenses on the engineering security architecture. The team is seeking engineers with robust backgrounds in fields including – but not limited to – Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Avionics, and Mission Systems. While a candidate with a cybersecurity engineering background is a plus, it is not required to be considered for this position. Strong technical backgrounds are the key markers of the successful candidate.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with engineering and non-engineering stakeholders (including DOD customers & suppliers) and industry subject matter experts.

Onsite – not hybrid or virtual - This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications: (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Statistics, or other scientific field of study.
Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Mission Systems or Avionics experience
  • Experience in requirements analysis and development
  • Experience monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Experience with military aircraft systems
  • Experience with Systems Security or Cybersecurity Engineering
Typical Education/Experience:
Entry:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor), or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
